Enjoy a 7-hours day of exploring Paestum, a major ancient Greek city on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The ruins of Paestum are famous for their three ancient Greek temples in the Doric order, dating from about 600 to 450 BC. A private driver will meet you at the port of Salerno or anywhere else in the area of Campania that you require and take you on a journey through the ruins.
Meet your private driver at the exit of the Salerno port at approximately 9:30am. From there, begin your 30-minute drive to your destination, Paestum. Upon your arrival in Paestum, the driver will introduce you to your private, licensed guide. They will be holding your skip-the-line entrance tickets. Tour the inside of the Paestum ruins for approximately 2-hours as your guide educates you on the area. The site is open to the public, and there is a modern national museum within it, which also contains the finds from the associated Greek site of Foce del Sele.
After the tour, your driver will be waiting by the vehicle to bring you back to Salerno. Once in Salerno, the driver will take you to a sea-front restaurant to enjoy a 3-course lunch including beverages. Post lunch, the day will continue with an independent stroll in the city center or on the boardwalk, to enjoy some free shopping. Come the end of your day, the driver will then take you back to the port so you may embark on your ship in a timely manner.
